If you live, work or play in Cumbria, or you are just passionate about the county, then this website is for you. We created it so you can get involved in the regeneration of Cumbria, we wanted to:
- Introduce and direct you as easily as possible to many of the organisations and projects involved in the regeneration of Cumbria
- Highlight some of the issues affecting people, communities and businesses in Cumbria
- Provide an independent impartial place for you to comment on what you feel the issues are and to say what you would like to see happen to help resolve them
This site has links to organisations helping the regeneration of Cumbria, you can view them at who's here to help. We've also highlighted some of the issues facing Cumbria and are inviting you to submit your ideas and take part in short surveys. Ideas you provide will be displayed in the your ideas section.
Cumbria is a uniquely beautiful diverse county that people feel passionately about, it is in the midst of significant changes that are affecting a great many people. The cost of housing, a loss of young people, low average wages, a loss of large employers and continuing changes in agriculture are some of the issues causing concern for many in the county. The organisations and projects on this website are here to help make a difference.
